I spear head the strategic direction of TORORO Youth Initiative for professional
Development LTD as the Executive Director. The role I play alongside being a
mentor for Masters Common wealth International scholars in the UK as well as
undergraduate students at Bristol University. Having engaged with different NGOs in both Uganda and the International scene,
the experience acquired has prepared me for this role holistically. Am privileged and honoured to be working with very exceptional, self driven and committed team of members from both National and International arena. This will enable our vision to prosper. I graduated from Bristol University United Kingdom, with A masters in Educational
Leadership, Policy and Development in 2014 having been in the Education sector
for more than 25 years practicing in different capacities. I have taught and trained, children, teachers, inspectors of schools in Uganda and overseas. My overall passion is on Human Capital Development

one”, I have the passion and commitment to do the little I can to elevate people out of poverty! Isale Calement Robert is co-founder of Tororo Youth Initiative for Professional Development who takes his personal time to advise and support in the organizational strategies for youth pursuing skills and professional development .He has worked with various organizations in different fields of logistic and supply, sales and marketing, imports and exports and business development and hands on in entrepreneurship .He has passion in helping and advising youth and others attain Financial freedom in their economic struggles. He is also coach and mentor passionate to share his skills in shaping the future of others .He is a holder of BSc in Accounting and Finance From Kyambogo University and Masters in procurement and Supply Chain and other relevant awards in business subjects .His vision is to have skilled youth who are self-reliant and able to better their lives and the lives of the members of their families and communities they live in while championing positive change in economic development in the world they live in.
He says “Leaders can be made, everyone can do something and there should never be a word failure in life, we only need to awaken who they are and redirect their potential.”

Steve Haines has spent 30+ years in the field of United States education. Steve is an entrepreneur and author with many pursuits and passions all aimed at providing memorable & meaningful experiences for children and
teachers. Steve is the President and CEO of Advantage-USA (an
International Educational Consulting Company dedicated to global education
and language immersion experiences) and the founder and Executive Director of Camp Concepts, Inc. He also serves as the C.O.O. for Global
Connections Foundation. Steve has authored two books and has delivered his unique, interactive teacher/leader training course that has taken him to more than 80 cities in
China, training over 4,000 teachers. He has also delivered his popular
teacher training course in Uganda. His goal is to empower teachers to embrace the leadership role as facilitator and to help them forge deeper and more meaningful connections with their student
Dawn Malcolm is a board member and also the founder and CEO of Lighting the Path NGO. Her mission is to empower individuals with education and skills to start an income earning business and improve their own lives. She
teaches skills in handmade goods and small business practices. Dawn holds degrees in Psychology, Fine Arts and French language from Webster University, USA
Rashid holds A Masters degree in social work from Anglia Ruskin University of Cambridge and a bachelors in Management and Business administration from Islamic University Uganda. Currently, he is the Chairman North London Uganda Muslim community and a member of the Deaf child World Wide, very passionate about developing humanity and a caring friend to all children, serves as an International Board member of TORORO Youth Initiative and supports the National team in many aspects. Rashid is a registered member with social work England, Working in child protection and safe guarding
Zoë Welsh, board member, TORORO Youth Initiative for professional Development is an experienced educator currently undertaking doctoral research at the University of the West of England. She combines this with her teaching role at Willow Park Primary School in Bristol, UK where she has a class of newly arrived Afghan pupils aged between 7 and 11 as well as providing support and training for other teachers in the school. She is using
her EAL (English as an Additional Language) teaching expertise and
leadership experience to develop a curriculum and pedagogy for newly
arrived EAL learners. Passionate about the development of pupils’ home
languages, her recent MA Ed dissertation research project, How do pupils with EAL feel about using their home languages in school? highlighted the
impact of their neglect on children’s self-esteem and learning potential. As a
researcher she is inspired to call attention to the policy silence in England, regarding the education of our bilingual and multilingual pupils, and to consider how we can best meet their needs learning from researchers across
the world. Zoë qualified as a teacher in 1989 with a B’Ed from Roehampton Institute of
Higher Education,London,UK. Her Masters degree in Education (inclusive
practice) is from the Open University. She has the National Professional
Qualification for Headteachers. Zoë took part in teacher collaboration project with teachers from Kinyara Sugar Works Primary School in Masindi, Uganda and visited Uganda in 2011
and 2012
As an early philanthropist she’s been committed to improving community through the focus and the dedication of up skilling and building confidence in youth. Her dedication to give back started at an early age, as she was raised in poverty and experienced the benefit of second chances, first hand. Her work with the TORORO Youth Initiative gives Amy the outlet to extend her Marketing, Learning & Developing, and Coaching skills and experience
